Fisheries Department Recruitment 2026 – Sea Guard & Sea Rescue Squad Vacancies Apply Now

Sea Guards

Sea Guards are being recruited on a temporary basis for the Thrissur district for sea rescue and patrolling during the trawl ban period and for the currently vacant Harbour Based Sea Rescue Squad post on daily wage basis. The interview will be held on June 17 at 11 am at the office of the Deputy Director of Fisheries, Pallikkulam, Thrissur.

Candidates should appear for a walk-in interview along with documents proving age, educational qualification, other qualifications and preference criteria.

Eligibility Must be a fisherman who is a member of the Kerala Fishermen’s Welfare Fund Board. Age limit between 20 and 60. Must know how to swim in the sea. If necessary, a swimming test in the sea will be conducted to ensure fitness. Those who fail the fitness test will be excluded.

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed training at the National Institute of Water Sports, Goa, worked as a Lifeguard/Sea Rescue Squad and participated in the 2018 flood rescue operation. Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of Thrissur district, have higher educational qualifications and are proficient in operating state-of-the-art sea rescue equipment.
