Sea Rescue Guard, Sea Rescue Squad Recruitment in Thrissur
Sea Rescue Guards and Harbor Based Sea Rescue Squads are being recruited on a temporary basis on daily wage basis for sea rescue and patrolling in Thrissur district for the period after this year’s trawl ban.
Interview will be held on July 27 at 11 am at the office of the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Azhikode Fisheries Station.
The opportunity is for fishermen who are members of the Kerala Fishermen’s Welfare Fund Board. Those between the ages of 20 and 60 can apply. Applicants should be able to swim in the sea. If necessary, a swimming test in the sea will be conducted to ensure fitness. Those who fail the fitness test will be excluded.
Preference will be given to those who have completed training at the Goa National Institute of Water Sports, who have previously worked as a lifeguard or sea rescue squad, and who have participated in the 2018 flood rescue operations. In addition, residents of their own district, those with higher educational qualifications, and those who are proficient in operating state-of-the-art sea rescue equipment will also be considered.
